Woke Wenye is owned & operated by Courtney M. She is a mother, girlfriend and proud black female entrepreneur from Chicago Illinois. Courtney started using shea butter because of a skin condition called Psoriasis. After that, she gave her products to friends and family. She then decided to make & sell shea butter with amazing scents. All products are homeade.

Wenye is a loose Swahili translation of the word "soul". What Woke Wenye means to Courtney is products that awaken you not only on the outside but inside as well.
